Whenever the sadder moments of this complex kaleidoscope of feelings appear on the screen of my heart, my self-talk immediately shifts to dissolve the lump in my throat.

Turn Back!
In last week’s blog, we explored the “Cruise-Control” nature of relationships – taking for granted those who are in our lives. Just as passion for our husbands cools over a period of time, so too, can our pursuit of God’s presence. When everything shut down in March due to Covid, the people in my home …
Ready to Roll!
It has been a while since I've published a new blog entry. I wish I could say it was because of an exciting new book I'm writing, but the past year has been a season of waiting. God has been working on my heart and growing my faith in exciting and sometimes painful ways. I …
Greatest Love Story
This blog post is from a dear friend of mine.. “Through all the seeking and wondering, the pain and failures, I finally found my forever one true love.” ~Yoliz Botello~
I’ve been sharing my story for a while now, but lately i’ve been repeating it in many places and with so many different people in my life that I never thought I would do. The opportunity simply just seems right each time. And you know what? I feel compelled to share it with you today.
Growing up I loved watching the “Cinderella” Disney movie. I’d watch it over and over again hmmm i’d say, about every day 🙂 . I’ve always been drawn to romance movies and I catch myself always admiring good romantic relationships. I hardly watch TV, but when I do it’s usually TLC’s “Say Yes To The Dress,” as well as “Four weddings,” and I deeply admire HGTV’s “Fixer Upper” couple. Anyway, you get the picture. I don't know about you, but when my "To-Do" list gets long, I dive into the day and plow through each task as if I could accomplish everything. Under my …
4-Steps to Protect your Marriage from Comparisons
I am competitive. An athlete in high school, I used to thrive on the opportunity to set swim meet records, block the soccer shot, or make a free throw. Competition motivated me to work harder and improve my skills. It did the same for my college studies. But being competitive in marriage is dangerous. Ever …

How Long Are You Supposed to Wait?
I wasn’t going to stand around and wait any longer! We were stuck. I got sick of waiting for him to change. And so, she left him. Dreaming of change This notion of wanting a change in your marriage is the dream of many women. Some are waiting for their husbands to find the Lord. …
Church Lady with a Mohawk?
Last week, I got a haircut. A really edgy haircut. Less edgy, more ‘jump out of a plane” cut. First question from my stylist? “What do you think your husband is going to say?” I didn’t know. But I wasn’t worried. He's been encouraging (well at least accepting of) my unconventional looks for years. Throughout …
